Published 16 February 2012 Strong Performance in 2011 Launches Plenary Group into Top 10 Global Project Finance Sponsors
Plenary Group has broken into an elite group of the World's top project finance sponsors, making its way onto Dealogic's global top ten rankings with 1% of the total global volume of project finance deals in 2011.
Plenary Group is the only sponsor of public/private infrastructure developments in Dealogic's Project Finance Review for 20111 Top 10 list, among a cast of oil and gas heavyweights such as Exxon Mobil Corp, Qatar Petroleum and Gazprom, and international conglomerates such as India's Adani Group.
Plenary Group Principal, John O'Rourke, acknowledged the new ranking as a wonderful recognition of two dedicated teams that have worked tirelessly to build market-leading businesses in Canada and Australia.
"Our ranking for 2011 is a stunning outcome in only our eighth year of operations; a result of achieving financial close on 6 large scale infrastructure projects in 2011", Mr O'Rourke said.
Plenary Group presently has a portfolio of 20 infrastructure projects across Canada and Australia with a project capitalisation of over $10bn.
Plenary Group Americas President, Paul Dunstan sees more opportunities emerging in 2012.
"The market remains a strong one for innovative public infrastructure developers. We see a number of potential new markets coming online in North America as well as new asset classes being considered by our public sector clients", Mr Dunstan said.
